500 Somalis got new jobs thanks Hobyo Port

Inshallah Hobyo Port will continue to provide jobs and more opportunities to the Somali people. Hobyo gives so much and we just started investing on her.

Every day more ships and goods are coming. The reputation and prosperity of Galmudug's port city will grow.

:farmajoyaab: Sxb this aint a Port, but insha'Allahi there will be one built soon.

It is a port. It is making good profit and will continue to grow. Trust me walal.

The hardest part was building the 240 mile road. Saleebaan are now also building their own road which will link it up with Cadaado.

Development News should be protected from FKD on Somalispot.
Rome wasn't built in one day.
You are correct.

But this whole thread is a subtle fdk. Imo posting this embarrassement of a fishing jetty that was supposed to compete with the new pl port in Garacad the same day Garacad was getting its second Container ship is just funny.

Hobyo was played by Qatar and Sharmaajo's regime, they lied to Galmudug's people and said they would build it, they haven't.

Somalis should stop thinking about the ports being in competition with each other and instead work together to conquer East Africa's market. There is enough business for everyone if people think long-term and strategically. Even if it's a fishing pier, Reer Hobyo should use it for fishing purposes and even build a small fishing factory to start with.

Hobyo is what it is because of GM administration being qasaaro. As a FMS it should have never put its development on the hands of FGS. Garacad didnt get money from the FGS and it was built on 25$ million only while Hobyo was promised 230$ million.

Ofc more ports means more jobs, more competion, better services and cheaper prices. This will mean better ports on the Somali coast that will out compete other East-African countries with one main port with stagnated prices and suboptimal services. I also agree on this notion.

But this thread is still fkd imo and @Galmudug-State a sheegato.

Garacad Port cost far more than 20 Million, Puntland Government paid 20 Million and owns shares. The rest of the money belongs to private stakeholders. It's a PPP (Public-Private Partnership).

Read this:

I read 200 Million dollars.

Which makes sense, one big share is $75,000, so if 2500 or so people invested, that makes nearly 200 Million Dollars.

200 million is cap, if so then a corruption investigation has to be done. That cannot be worth 200 million.

Anywhere from 50 to 100 million makes sense, 200 million means a proper container terminal with proper cargo cranes like Berbera and Djibouti.

Oh god, Somalis love white elephants projects. I made a post recently and commented several times about this issue. I will say it again and again and again, the priority should be:

1- Establishing an oil company in partnership with a big player in the oil industry with an initial investment worth +$100 million
2- dedicating any amount between 2 million dollars and 100 million dollars to lobby in the west, especially in America, for corporate welfare (since we are experts in that :pachah1:). If you think this is unprecedented you are mistaken because ExxonMobil receives 4 billion dollars in subsidies every year.
