3 idiots and the wiseman.

There were 3 men who were having an argument about the better grain between wheat, hominy (grits) and oats-when they decided to take their grievances to the village wiseman. The village wiseman thought for a minute and came up with solution to determine who was right. My children, he said, each of you prepare a bag of your grain of choice and meet me back here. And so they did.

When all was prepared, the wiseman instructed each man to carry his bag as fast as he could to reach the wiseman's hut. Who ever got there first would be the winner. Of course it didn't make sense, but because he was the village wiseman, they went with it. The wiseman's brother would be waiting at the location.

As it happened, all three men reached their location, the man with the wheat and the one with the oats, both had their bags intact. The man with the hominy having reached the location first declared himself the winner. But he had no bag. They inquired as to what had happened to his bag, and he told them of the fox he met along the way that stole it. Because he had nothing with him, the winner was given to the next man, the one with the wheat- and so wheat was declared the superior grain.

This angered the hominy man and he refused to accept defeat asking for a rematch.
