When the push comes to shove, how the f*ck will you remove all of these people from the island? They won’t accept being deported as they now outnumber the locals and how do you find the identities/countries they hail from? Libya/Tunisia sure as well won’t take them back and trying to fly back 18k migrants will be a logistical nightmare from the islnd

Best thing to do is to simple send them back to Libya and Tunisia and if they don't take them back and let them starve it's those countries fault. And if they come back you shoot.

How do you send them back to Libya and Tunisia? They don’t come from there and their gov’t won’t allow all of these migrants back into North Africa. EU laws also prevents Italy from establishing a naval blockade, which keeps them flooding. Might as well concede the entire island
