“Much of what has made Islam great comes from Persians”

Rasul Allah ﷺ and pretty much all the sahaabah were Arabs. Who is better than them?
Yes, but does that mean Arabs are above non-Arabs? No, it doesn't. God for whatever reason chose the Holy Qur'an and the final version of Islam to be revealed among the Arabs at the time.

The Arabs became rather irrelevant politically & militarily around the time of the Abbasid caliphate, the Persians dominated the administration and bureaucracy of the Islamic State and the newly arrived Turks dominated the army.

After the Abbasids lost effective control over the Caliphate and became largely symbolic rulers, the Muslim non-Arab societies became the main players in Islamic history till the European colonial age.

So I don't even know where this Arab superiority come from tbh. Islam doesn't belong to the Arab and the Arab didn't make Islam great.

Turks ruled the Islamic world longer than arabs. Doesn't mean arabs are useless, but they are pretty irrelevant up until oil money made the gulf rich enough to spread their wahabi ideology.

Persians moving like post colonial africans. Can't get over the fact they lost and got Conquered. Islam was not made great by Iranian, arab or Turks. Islam is one of the reasons they are great, not the other way around. Islam was not changed as they built their civilizations, rather these peoples built their civilization on top of islam.

What would empires and kingdoms in the Somali peninsula look like without Islam binding the clans together? Ajuuran was a theocracy. Adal was an Islamic counter to Abyssinian expansion. Islam is the only reason Somalis are not Ethiopian. It's why I say when one converts to Christianity they give up their Somalinimo for Habashnimo.

I don't even really care for the various Arab states that emerged after WW1 & WW2 like Syria, Jordan, Saudi, the Gulf, etc. Most of these countries came about because of the revolt against the last legitimate caliphate (Ottomans) that was backed by Britain in WW1. All because the Arabs decided that nationalism was more important than keeping the Muslims united.

The Ottomans contributed the most to Islam. There would be no Muslims in Europe without them, and the city of the world's desire would not be a Muslim one.

sahabas were diverse asf, 6 were black africns and 5 i think were romans

I said "pretty much all the sahaabah were Arabs"- not 100%.

If I'm not mistaken, the sahaabah numbered in the thousands. So 6 black Africans and 5 Romans would only constitute a very small percent overall.

ok but I didn't say anything about Arabs being above non-Arabs. so if you're refuting that, then what you're refuting is something completely different than what I wrote. I did not say that but rather I object to anti-Arab racism.

Arabs aren't commonly the targets of anti-Arab racism (except from whites perhaps) but Arab racism towards the Shu'ubiyya (الشعوبية) is well-attested historically.

Historically, the Arabs faced intense racism from Europeans/Whites, due to racialising them as the face of Islam. This hatred was most apparent in Spain for obvious reasons. I remember reading a quote from a Spanish King from that time period saying the blood of an Arab belongs on my sword.

there is massive and blatant anti-Arab racism that is going around. I am not asking anyone to take a position that Arabs are superior but people can at the very least not insult and demean them.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

Ideas of racial superiority are only held by losers who don't have anything of value to offer.:gaasdrink:

Not really. Mecca and Medina was historically an intellectual hub for jurisprudence and hadith studies. It was a center of Maliki and Hanbali learning and because it was the major pilgrammage center, it became a kind of conference hotspot for scholars across the Middle East, Africa, the Balkans, and India. The rise of the Saudi state killed it off
