“Amhara is dead. Oromo is ready to dominate Ethiopia.”

Shimelis Abdisa, Deputy President of Oromia region of Ethiopia on leaked audio explained how the new Prosperity Party and ODP practicing Oromo hegemony in Ethiopia and future plans on the expense of the rest of non-Oromo Ethiopians.

this would make sense if they weren't imprisoning oromo liberation front leaders, members, supporters, etc. the prosperity party is not going to make oromo's dominant, but instead, make a few oromos like abiy and his crew, dominant. there's an essential difference.
oromos will always play a major role in ethiopia since our land, our soldiers, our resources, are the backbone of the nation; but most oromos do not seek to dominate others.

Is Amharic still the official language of Ethiopia? Are Amharas taught Oromo language in schools?

In 1975 most private schools were nationalized, including some traditional church schools. The medium of instruction in government operated schools is Amharic in the primary level and English in the secondary and university levels. There are two sets of national exams; the first one is in Amharic and held at the end of grade eight. The second exam, the Ethiopian School Leaving Certificate, is given in English at the end of grade twelve. In 1979 a major literacy programme was undertaken by the Ethiopian government. 15 different Ethiopian languages were utilized to facilitate the multi-ethnic population.
