For the people here in IT, did anyone of you pursue cloud certifications?

I think certs alone won't land you a job but they definitely do help. Personal projects that demonstrate strong technical skills that are relevant for the job probably have more weighting than certs if you have no experience. I've been planning to do an AWS cert (Solutions Architect) but have...

For the people here in IT, did anyone of you pursue cloud certifications?

Thought I would come back to this post after a couple years to say that its definitely doable to get into data engineering going through the bootcamp route without a degree. I've been working as a data engineer for just over a year now at a startup. I'm content with my career progression/rate of...

    Arab speakers back home

He was number two but this guy was clearly a patholgical liar, he was a masters graduate from ucl in electrical and electronic engineering and is doing his phd soon. As for work, hes told me that he works as a call center operative from home one time and the other time he says he was pa...

    Arab speakers back home

It was hard to not get sucked into such a wrong controversial statement. He realised he couldn't argue about what we were talking about specifically so attacked my experience/character, such a slimy c*nt.

    Arab speakers back home

I got into a heated conversation with this random fob yesterday about Somali Arabic speakers. In typical fob fashion, he boldly claimed that 98% of somalis spoke Arabic back home which is obviously nonsense. I tried to prove to him with a couple google searches that this just isn't the case but...

nice, I’ve been thinking of going into data engineering since I have decent python/analytical skills. I’m a uni dropout and I want to start working instead of learning full time again, currently waiting for this course to open: https://uk.generation.org/london/data-engineering/ I have a few...

    Thoughts on Niqab?

Agnostic but I’m indifferent to religion in general. without oil the Arab countries would be shitholes and those Asian countries have beneficial cultural principles.

    Thoughts on Niqab?

Which country would u suggest practices religion sincerely? If there isn’t any then why would the problem be with people and not the system of religion itself. The general trend is that the less religious countries tend to rank better in all key metrics.

There are Somalis who don’t use toilet paper. Yuck!

Yh I use loads of sheets and fold it at the part ur meant to cut. I’ve never had it rip lol I don’t drown it with water so it’s a sturdy structure. Nice clean effective swipe and maybe trickle down water if there’s a container and it’s spotless.

There are Somalis who don’t use toilet paper. Yuck!

What I do is fold the tissue several times and then wet it, basically a baby wipe lol. I do it skilfully so there’s theres no hand contact with ur ass. Then dry it with normal tissue. It is kinda weird how I do it but honestly you have to at least use both tissue and water in the process. It’s...

How do somalis and yemenis have the same culture ?

We share similar food, their mandi rice uses similar xawash to ours. They also chew khat socially. Lastly, both share Islam which has a big impact culturally. We don’t speak the same language and probs share less cultural practices than neighbouring Arab counties.

    Gaalos of somalispot

i would say I’m agnostic to be exact. I don’t pray unless the occasion forces me to eg group of relatives over. I do wish there was less judgment and compulsion on something that’s a personal belief. But I can see why when you feel like your loved one is condemned to hell for their behaviour...

Im curious as to how those living with their families execute deceptive ploys to sneak in a few calories during Ramadan. Has the lockdown made it more difficult this year lol?
