GENETICS T-Y45591 migration into the Horn of Africa

Your agenda is out in the open by now. It’s not Isaak that need to boost their numbers and the authority figures you’re speaking of are none other than politicians based in Somalia. These individuals do not represent anyone but themselves. I gave you a list of books, each one confirming the...

GENETICS T-Y45591 migration into the Horn of Africa

@anonimo For you it all boils down to boosting your insignificant numbers by claiming Isaak as Dir. The Y-DNA you’re trying to use to legitimize your case has shattered the false genealogy of the Dir clan. It’s also impossible for Isaak to be Dir while at the same time being the children of...

GENETICS T-Y45591 migration into the Horn of Africa

You didn’t debunk anything. You stated that there’s an indication that Ciisa and Gadabursi could be closer to Isaak T carriers. An indication based on STR, not definite proof. You became rabid when I wrote that Isaak has maintained a different lineage for 800 years and that there are...

GENETICS T-Y45591 migration into the Horn of Africa

@anonimo Isaak are not Dir and your little cyber jihad wont change that. The only individuals claiming Dir are those based in Somalia out of economic interest. No other person entertains that idea. Richard Burtons opinions are irrelevant. Amir Sharmarke Ali Saleh abtirsi in 1840 is the oldest...

GENETICS T-Y45591 migration into the Horn of Africa

@anonimo If you’re disregarding historical manuscripts describing the genealogy of the Isaak tribe then the oldest historical reference of a stand-alone Isaak lineage is derived from Amir Sharmarka Ali Saleh in 1854. This individual of authority traces his ancestry to Sheikh Ishaak and not to...

GENETICS T-Y45591 migration into the Horn of Africa

The tribes you mentioned consider themselves Dir. Isaak have maintained a different tradition for 800 years. I don’t think the latter would change identity and adopt a new identity that’s not equal in terms of political and economic power. People change identity if there’s something to gain...

GENETICS T-Y45591 migration into the Horn of Africa

Ancient North Arabian is more plausible. I believe these migrants were cut off from their ancestral motherland most likely as a result of conquest. If they were ancient south Arabians from Yemen they would still have a connection to their motherland and we would see the evidence of a large...

What if the south Semitic inscriptions in coastal/central Somaliland are in fact Ancient North Arabian inscriptions used by Lihyan (Dedan), Tayma, Thamud etc?

GENETICS T-Y45591 migration into the Horn of Africa

@anonimo Yes, smaller clans in Sanaag fall under the sphere of influence of larger clans such as Isaak and Darod but only Abbas Musa and Gahayle paid blood money with Warsangeli and Habr Yunis. In contrast, Lo’jir (Gurgura), another small indigenous subclan found in Sanaag, fall under the...

GENETICS T-Y45591 migration into the Horn of Africa

Abbas Musa happen to be the only clan in Sanaag paying blood money (protection) with another clan (Warsangeli) which indicates a recent migration. This used to be the case for Gahayle pre 1980. I wrote that a recent split for the Isaak-Gadabursi-Ciisa cluster would make sense given the...

GENETICS T-Y45591 migration into the Horn of Africa

@anonimo I believe Abbas Musa are recent migrants to Sanaag hence the protection of Warsangeli whom the Abbas Musa pay blood money with. Indigenous clans, smaller stand alone clans like Magadle, Jibrail and Lo’Jir do not pay blood money with other clans. I think eastern Ethiopia is the...

GENETICS T-Y45591 migration into the Horn of Africa

Haplogroup T is a major lineage among Assyrians but they do not belong to Y16897 even though it’s from the eastern Mediterranean. Yes, we need more samples to determine when major splits happened, right now we have an Isaak-Dir split and the possibility of an Isaak, Gadabursi, Ciisa cluster vs...

GENETICS T-Y45591 migration into the Horn of Africa

I think they were a group of related men from the same community who migrated to Yemen and from there crossed into modern day Djibouti/Somaliland area . Their origin was most likely northern Hejaz (ancient Thamūd like the Spaniard Esteban proposed years ago?). I don’t think one man is able to...

GENETICS T-Y45591 migration into the Horn of Africa

I never claimed Arab ancestry but Y44591 is without doubt a lineage from the Arabian Peninsula most likely northwestern Arabia.

GENETICS T-Y45591 migration into the Horn of Africa

Given the geographical distance between Isaak, Gadabursi and Ciisa it would make sense if they form a genetic cluster contra other T-BY181012 carriers but it hasn’t been proven yet.

GENETICS T-Y45591 migration into the Horn of Africa

Very interesting, the focal point for the migration of Y44591 was always the Arabian Peninsula. The question is, is it a northern Arabian lineage, Persian Gulf (eastern Saudi) or a south Arabian (south Semitic) lineage?
