Portuguese crusaders tried to invade Arabian peninsula via Somali coast and Red Sea to destroy the 2 holy masjids and they got karbaashed by geeljires and sent back to Europe in body bags

The sign of jahiliyah is when we worry for the dead and forget the living I think a hadith said something along those lines!!! We are officially in the age of ignorance, may god send us a redeemer on the straight path.

It's amazing the power of satan he makes u think ur doing something good 'like focusing on the prophet grave' which he is already dead and is with Allah and makes u forget the life and people u live with which is what u will be judged on. So what u think is good is actually bad but u don't know it

Don't worry bro, those who died defending the prophet grave are probably in heaven right now, not because of that though but because they used up all their spiritual and mental capacity, I mean can u send to hell someone who gave it everything they had. If a baby falls over and doesn't end up walking fully, you won't just throw them outside will ya. They tried and that's all U can ask for. The problem is with people like me and that other guy @Bidaar Wanagsan and a few others, we know a bit more so we wont be let go that easily, we just protecting ourselves honestly because if we just stoop down to that level, we know we lying to ourselves and we know god aint gonna be happy with that :samwelcome:

The biggest problem facing the ummah is we try to group 1 billion people into 1 class and deliver the same content and expect the same results. Where-as we feel mosques should be different. U know have some that are worship, others that are rational and appeals to thinkers, others which are body and mind and stress related in life. There should be a huge organism in islam not this one size fits all cuz we are not one size and we are different mentally, physically, spiritually!!!

Where I was at the age of 15 spiritually was 'show me god' then I got older and Started to say prove god or rational arguments, then I got even further and realized even our minds are limited and we cant rely fully on that cuz I realized that when I told someone about my dream and he said you never had that dream because u have no evidence. I realized intelligence also has a weak-point becuz I did have this dream but just cause i couldnt prove it, it was dismissed as not occurring. I know don't put all my faith into science like I used too. So now Im at the stage where it's a mix of rational plus the actual spiritual message especially around 'purpose'. Who knows where I will end up as time goes on but islam should've of accomodated all those stages of my inquiry!!!

So now I equally listen to rational but also spiritual arguments just as equal, that's where I am so to speak, as time goes on, allahu alam!!!

You won't understand a word I say, I just hope others do who have been in my boat!!! But faith comes easy for some, but it doesn't for others. Islam needs to accommodate both. A great reformation is needed!!! Right now the islam is catered to who faith comes easy. I remember this hamza yusuf lecture one day where he talked about this old lady and a rational person. He said I have 100 questions about god and the lady said well you must of had 100 doubts!!! that made me ponder truly

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I remember a while ago when I watched this luckily there was a somali version for anyone interested its a bit shorter but still got the important information. The somali (Ajuuran sultanate) vs portugese wars is actually very interesting to read.

Why don’t you provide a translation for us? We’re not Arabs.
He starts saying modern day somalia is faqiir and poor,

Then he contiunes by talking about ancient history how they traded with Fircoun (kemet), babylonians, Rome, pheonician, and Fars (Persian).

Lets get to the point, he talks about futuh al habesha. Ahmad bin Ibrahim Al Ghazi, jihad against the portugeuse in Somalia. Because the ottomans blocked the silk road, so vasco de gana sailed to hindia.

They tried to colonise soqotra, muscut, and try to take over Jazeeratul Arab, or arabian pensiula to get to hindia.

Alot of history about Somalis is written in Arabic I will translate it for you guys.
