Look at East Germany, North Germany, Austria. They aren't even related.
Is it that haplogroup everyone is so obsessed about? If so that would make a lot of sense. Although Germany may seem as a homogenous state, there is as lot of diversity between the peoples. If you look at maps of pre-unified Germany, it looked like a mess.

It is based on complete genomes.
Many countries or language groups in Europe are slightly shegad.
Greeks and Albanians are the same people.
Romanians are Latin speaking southern slavs, but southern slavs are not even slavs!
No such thing as german ethnicity. East Germans are slavs.

Tbf, a lot of East/North Germany belonged to slavics and ancient Baltic groups like the "Old Prussians" which gave the name to the German state of Prussia.

I would say
Somalis cluster together.
Ethiopian Somalis for the most part are indistinguishable from other Somalis but also slightly move towards Eastern Oromos
Eastern Oromos cluster towards Somalis
Southern Oromos situate between Somalis/Eastern Oromos and Nilotics like Maasai.
Western Oromos cluster towards Amxaara
Northern Oromo are indistinguishable from Amxaara
Groups like Sidama, Wolayta, Kunso, Burji etc cluster towards Omotics etc
That's as far as my knowledge goes.

One thing i Always wondered is if their is a genetica Difference between afar and Somalis considering both groups have remained of pure cushtic stock.

No. Somalis are much purer. Afars actually have a lot of Semitic ancestry. Which is weird because they look exactly like Somalis, even more so than Oromos.

The autosomal data published on the Afar may be sketchy and could be Xamir Agaws from North Ethiopia. I would have to see a secondary study on them before confidence in those results.

The more interesting thing would be how the Somali ethnic regions would subdivide. It is unknown.
