Dont you know that these al shabaab fighters are given orders. They dont decide where they are going to attack. The guy who gave the orders to attack DDS was probably a Daarood or hawiye guy since Raxanweyn dont hold leadership positions in al shabaab

HSM fought Shabaab in his last term and liberated many territories. If we saw that progress continue we could’ve seen at least a fully liberated Central Somalia.
We’ll come back to this in a years time and compare. I will just hazard a guess Hiiraan, GM and most of the Shabellaha will have been liberated. We can then start thinking about replacing AMISOM in those territories in 2024.
Bay is the hardest place given Shabaab have an endless supply of foot soldiers from there. Also there’s an election that will be the focus in a few months.
Although a lot of shabaab recruits are from Baay region, i believe the most important region to clean al shabab from is jubooyinka. That is where they train their soldiers after they recruit them. As long as jubada dhexe is under shabaab control clean baay and bakool and shabeelooyinka wont really make a diference.
