Of course, they were more progressive in 2000.

However, I do not believe they will become like the CDU in the near future.

I was talking to my old uni professor about Biden and the future of the Democrats. He said something really haunting, my prof specialises in American policies.

What he said was "After Jan 6th, how can we be sure that if the Republicans win the midterms they will not refuse to certify the election if the Dems win in 2024?"

After seeing the likes of Liz Cheney being demoted for her disagreement on Jan 6th plus their increasing denial regarding the results of the last election, I am rather worried for 2024.

Ever since Trump got elected, it became a conspiracy theory club.
But the party will eventually have to rebrand itself or it will be destroyed by the demographic shift.
Less than 40% of the population identifies as republicans, It's just matter of time.

Regardless of what the Republicans do, they have lost the long battle.

The political balance in America since the 1960's was that Republicans dominated the national economic policy and Democrats dominated the social policy.

If AOC gets elected, that will seal the Republican's loss in the economics battle as she will overhaul America's economy. Furthermore, the next generation that witnessed Trump alongside the demographic shift will be extremely hesitant to ever back the Republicans in such numbers as 2020 again.

Unless the Democrats f*ck up massively under an AOC presidency or she does not become president at all in this decade, we could very well see two decades of Democratic dominance in American politics.

I don't like the dishonesty that fiat currencies bring. With a fixed supply currency (either gold or bitcoin), governments are forced to be honest and spend wisely.

It would also stop the rampant misallocation of capital. Nearly every shitty company nowadays has a market capitalization of several billion.

The right doesn't want to deport legal migrants or citizens, they want to deport illegal immigrants.
The focus of the racists isn't on the somalis right now, but it's on latinos (bcoz border) and asians.

Trump would have removed the arms embargo on Somalia if he got a second term, thats why he pulled the US troops out of Somalia.
