Somalia should be a secular country

I would take Islam anytime over Backward Waaq.
Islam connected Somalia to the muslim world, protecting us from foreign invasion (the Ottomans helped us a lot) and giving us scientific knowledge.
Islam gave us a solid civilisation back in the days.

This is why we weren't naked while twerking in the forests when the european came (like some civilizations that I won't name).
Don’t get it twisted we were civilized before islam but at the end of the day I am grateful for this religion.

We don't know that much about Somalis before Islam since they didn't even write (can you imagine that, something that was discovered in 3000BC).
So we could say that Islam was an upgrade.
Waaq didn't connect us to any successful civilization, we were isolated.

We should try to become like Turkey but it won't happen, as you can see, even Somalis raised in the West are extreme, maybe in a couple more generations, probably not in my lifetime.

No clue who that is. I just hope they have a name change in the near future. Sophisticate is a noun while Sophisticated is an adjective. Their username is very long and a bit of an oxymoron.

This is how you know these "get rid of Arab influence" know nothing about Somalia....

You know we also have Somali heritage institutes and a multi-governmental organisation based on preserving the Somali language and culture???

:snoop:
I'm not those Waaq worshiping anti-arab mfs don't worry, I just don't want Somalia to become Sudan.

I wasn't aware of the existence of this Ministry, thank god it exists though.

Do they deal in matters of language?

100 years ago, your awoowe either spoke Arabic, wrote in Arabic or wrote Somali in the Arabic script.

By going back to old Somali culture, you literally want Somalia to become like North Sudan.

:kanyehmm:
Ngl writing Somali in the arab script sounds pretty cool.

We need to have our own version of ataturk

make the hijab illegal in govt buildings

mosques be watched by dowlad to make sure no salafi nonsense is spread

Critical thinking skills be taught in school to combat religion

No Adaan

Spread liberalism , degeneracy across the nation to weaken their iman

make lgbtq people a protected class

This is how we destroy Islam in Somalia

I don't know much about my great-grandfather Jaamac, I know my grandfather Axmed fought in the Ogaden war and was a cigar seller but that's it.

But I thought literate Somalis, in the arabic script, was a rare occurance??

What's the actual chance of Somalia becoming like Sudan when you don't have any Arab ancestry?

The people of Punt were civilised prior to the arrival of Islam

You do realise that Somalia may very well be the location of Punt? The people were clearly a civilised people thousands of years before Islam's advent to the shores of the Red Sea; we're talking about a time period (1400 BC) in which Somalis were already civilised; this is around the time of Moses.

None this people are insane, we share nothing with the arabs other than religion, they just want a group of people to attack like the AA do with white people. You have somalis all the way from Albaqurque New Mexico that have never interacted with arabs speak our language or ever visited the country. Talking about were being arabized😂

Yeah, I don't see Somalia becoming like Sudan at all; with the exception of the very few people that believed in the Sheik Isaaq-Banu Hashim myth... Somalis are unlikely to associate themselves with Arabs and will retain their own identity.

Religion can guide and uplift, however, it can also be a vehicle of cultural imperialism, so some caution is necessary when dealing with the Arab world.

I agree and most people want to retain there culture and language. The only group of people that speak arabic as their main language other than the arabs are the Sudanese. These people cant even form a full sentence in Somali and speak english 24/7 and they’re talking about ”were being arabized”😂 and funny enough this all started and rightly with the AAs which i understand, they have been under oppresion in different forms for 400 yrs, and some of our people over there wanted to tag along and started attacking the arabs😂

The Kacaan took out a lot of arab influence right????

Yeah they did, credit to them.

Funny thing is tho....

It started off with taking out a lot of unnecessary loan words then went to killing shiekhs then ending in Siyaad Barre claiming he wants to make tawbah, asking if Egypt could send a tape of a movie on Prophet Muhammad SAW.

No cap.
