I used to be an advocate for that but the place is a shithole. Banks in South Africa are hella corrupt and set up their own customers. I spoke to a Somali that worked there and he said that banks have no internal controls in place and employees sell confidential papers to the highest bidder:mindblown:

They should avoid doing business in rural areas, arm themselves to the teeth and not put their profits in banks. The money is too good for them to leave Tbh

Somalis die more in North America than South Africa.

The thing is just being cautious and not exposing yourself.

Not trusting madow servants and replacing them always to avoid them learning about your whereabouts.

Also Somalis should not be flushy they should be like Indians in Kenya.Dont drive expensive cars or wear expensive clothes don't try standing out.
Save save and send all the money just like Indians do in Kenya.

In every township or location in local terms its very dangerous to the locals black people let alone for the immigrant Somalis. Somalis pay extortion every months to the criminal networks so that they can conduct the business in peace, even by paying extortion money every months still security isn't guarantee.

Some of the homicide are instigated by rival and jealous Somalis or even locals to take out competition. Some Madow they kill Somalis with no apparent reason out of pure HATE and xaasidnimo they come to their shops and kill them without even taking a penny or any valuables.

Some Somalis are illegally equipped with shotgun calibers or even AK47's for protection once the locals know how Somalis are armed they will not dare to mess with them. Somalis In SA are frugal ASF to be honest utmost their dressing code isn't appealing at all, they drive Korokoro cars/very cheap out dated cars but they are load with cash they're nicknamed Mobile Human ATM machine.

They are armed to the teeth bro, each Somali shop has its own security guard and the owners are armed with pistols and AKs. They kill plenty of the intruding thieves each year.
