Ok i admit this topic might be a little book-sy & smart for the Somali spot audience, but indulge me please. lol
So, Jane Austen is a famous author of the 19th century. She wrote a book called "Emma". Where A privileged girl was bored with life, so she took upon a project on herself. She took a protegee whom she could treat as her companion, basically her secretary lagging behind her. She tried to set her up with marriage, tried to make the girl posh & privileged like herself. When this girl fell in love with a farmer, who is her own league, Emma refused. She told her you will embarrass me if u married this farmer. Emma set the girl up with a middle posh guy who she thought will suit the poor girl. It was a disaster, the middle posh guy wanted Emma. Anyway, as the girl slowly became indoctrinated into becoming cool and above her league- suddenly she fell in love with the posh-est man in town. (Emma's secret lover)
Emma was triggered. She scolded the girl and said, girrrrlll....i think he is too high for u. The girl obviously was hurt.
The moral of the story is--actually--- i really don't know what the moral of the story is, all i know is, reading this yahoo article about Paris Hilton, i saw a photo of her and Kim Kardashian. Back then, When Kim was a tag along unknown girl. A nobody. Who knew this nobody girl will become the "it" girl & Paris Hilton a nobody???
By the way-- side note: A new version of the movie Emma adapted from Jane Austen is coming out to a Cinema near u. I can't wait.
