He was never apologizing to SNM but the regular innocent people of the region, airhead. Two separate entities.This apology wasn't for Somaliland but paid propagandists like @embarassing who will now point at this and say that Farmajo apologized so the case is closed. But he couldn't contain his inner kacaanist for even 2 minutes. He insulted the SNM and said that they need to apologize.
Everyone knows about the crimes committed by the SNM but there's a time and place for everything. What kind of an apology insults the people it's directed towards?

Again the president only apologized on behalf of the state, he has nothing to prove personally.
That’s why he’s being commended all over for taking initiative to say it.

This is what you call an apology and he did it many times before.
Farmaajo literally said:
- the atrocities were not based on tribes
- denies indirectly a marginalization of the north by the south
- The guys from the north (SNM) should apology as well.
