I watched a show on Channel 4 called Very British Problems and it's mostly about the typical polite but unwelcoming nature that British ppl are known for.
But what i really dislike is the use of phrases that are borderline racist. They will use terms like "white wedding" "black market"
why does it have to be black?
Even worse the term "anti semite" is genealogically incorrect. A semite is a descendant of "Sem" who is the biblical ancestor of the Caucasians, since when did the Jews take ownership of this term?
The cultural appropriation and ignorance surrounding it is worse. When they want to eat a Tikka Masala or a Chicken Chow Mein, they'll just say we're ordering an Indian or a Chinese. But if you're having Lasagna or a Risotto, they'll make the effort of pronouncing it with the accent.
When a Brit leaves for another country, suddenly they're an Expat instead of a foreigner
