Kobe Bryant Has Died In A Helicopter Crash

I am not gonna lie I would’ve been more sad if he died before retiring. He went out with a 60 piece and had an amazing career of ups and downs. I couldn’t careless about him when he hung up his jersey, why would I now that he died?

he was the greatest villain in pro sports. The guy you love to hate and who kept himself and his franchise around every time you thought they’d be dealt with for good. He died when Dirk and the mavs dusted them in 2011 has never brought that same level of entertainment since.

no wants to admit it or maybe they like to lie to themselves but I don’t care about the personal lives of people who entertain me they might as well be robots. They don’t inspire me either because I have Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to inspire me everyday and I don’t seek to make idols out of men just as capable as me. Plenty of people die everyday of the year, too many in more tragic circumstances for reasons they can’t control. It’s really crazy people are sad a member of the ruling class who uses copters as a method of transport cause he can’t be bothered with la traffic is dead because of that bougie decadence, meanwhile there are hundreds of thousands of homeless in Southern California defecating in the street and shooting up to distract themselves from the horrible life they live.

I feel for his wife cause she lost her daughter but I am no more or less sad than I was when he retired.

At the end of the day, a wife lost her husband, a mother lost her daughter, sisters lost their sister and children lost their father. He was human, and as a muslim, you should strive to have more empathy and compassion for souls that have departed this earth, irrespective of their celeb status.

Qays ibn Sa’d reported: A funeral passed by the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he stood up. It was said to him, “It is a Jew.” The Prophet said, “Was he not a soul?”

Your statements are flawed. He mentioned extensively that he couldn't handle long car rides due to the number of injuries that he went through. Helicopter rides were much faster. Secondly, it was noted that he did alot to help homelessness in LA. Hate him or love him, Kobe is dead. But his legacy lives on forever. Think about how you want your legacy to be, and what you want people to remember you by when you pass.

Quran isnt poetry its literal word of God, to compare Allah's word to poetry is unacceptable.

And We did not give Prophet Muhammad, knowledge of poetry, nor is it befitting for him. It is not but a message and a clear Qur'an(Surah Yasin, Verse 36)
Absolutely your right

Arabs were a sayf (sword) fighting culture. They knew about the jugular. And they’re an oral poetry-oriented culture similar to Somalis. If you look into old Arab poetry, it’s very rich.
So you acknowledge the Arabic language as rich in the essence , but detest the Quran as the speech of our creator ?

I don’t think that applies here, I would bring that same energy if Kobe was a Muslim.

I don’t care if he has trouble with long car rides, I am sure he’d say sitting in airport terminals is too hard for him so he has to take charter flights, whatever lies people have to tell to justify decadence, let me play a small violin.
I don’t hate him or love him I stopped caring when he retired.

Akhi, what is up with you and others I’ve seen in this thread to turn this horrific news into a debate? Right now a wife/mother is mourning the death and loss of her daughter and husband, and instead of doing the most sensible thing and feeling sympathy for his family, you’ve turned this news into a topic. There’s a time and a place for everything sxb. Right now is NOT the time to discuss Kobe’s merits or private life.

May Allah (swt) have mercy on his soul.

I watched him play when I was growing up. He was our family favourite in our household. My condolences to his family :frdfvsb:

Black Mamba was a inspiration. Guy would give his whole effort and leave everything on the floor. The moment he tore his Achilles I rem and shot those free throws on the line was just the glimpse of what type of guy he was. His drive and unmatched
