Doesn't matter how ridiculous it sounds but that's how the white trash view the issue and I'd put money on that. The South isn't going to secede but you will have a race war erupt if massive reparations are given out. White Urban Liberals + Minorities vs White Trash and whoever else joins them.
Im not placating racists I just don't care about AA's that much and I would rather have the ability to succeed in the US without the government expanding to a ridiculous extent and playing revisionist history to the detriment of the other 87%.

Are you delusional? the Electoral college was created to make sure the smaller states weren't dominated and that was the enticing factor for the small states like Rhode Island and Connecticut to join the Union. AAs were enslaved no one thought about them when laying out the electoral system. Ofc I don't deeply care about people that I have nothing in common with. Same thing with whites. My priorities are myself, my family, and my compatriots (Somalis and Canadians).
They were thinking about two things. The fact that the south was less populated than the north so the north would inevitably dominate congress and the future black population. Slavery was abolished in the north almost a 100 years before the south they needed to solve the black demographic "problem". By saying you don't care you are siding with white racists!
The modern solution is Planned Parenthood and it works wonders sadly. Blacks weren't even people. They were vigorously debating if property ownership would be the requirement to vote or not. Free non land owning white men almost couldn't vote initially
