You care for your people yet you completely cut your friend off when you found out they committed zina in the past? You care for your people yet you're telling people they should be ashamed if they committed those unharming sins, which is degrading them and in no way, shape, or form helps them? This is fake concern disguised behind extremism and hatred. You clearly have some sort of problem if you would go to the extent of cutting off someone you know well over a sin that is not serious and did not harm anyone.

If you cared about them, you would give them life advice or simply mind your business instead of showing disgust and cutting them off from your life. And yes, you should go live in Somalia if Somalis committing these sins in the West will upset you so much.

Tbh I'm with @tima on this. Friends influence you a lot. You may believe that you're immune to this but bit by but you'll start adopting their speech, style and maybe even their actions

If this person is committing major sins then as a friend you should advice but if they keep going it's time to cut them off your life. Just by reading the Quran you'll find verses describing how people wish that they didnt take "so and so" as friend

Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend. [Quran, 25:28]

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) while explaining the impact of friends says:

“Man is influenced by the faith of his friends. Therefore, be careful of whom you befriend.”[2]

Similarly, the commander of the faithful; Imam Ali (AS) says:

“Try to have as many as possible true friends, for they are the supplies in joy and the shelters in misfortunes” [3]

Choose your friends wisely;)

Going public is a bad idea but she has never done these acts why should she be forced to accept it?

I actually don't see what's wrong with reminding people publicly I didn't expose anyone and I'm not advising anyone specifically in public. Maybe I'm wrong

I learned a lot from this thread. I had been avoiding smoking weed for so long. Now I found out it’s not bad. Can’t wait to meet the dealer tonight. My friend told me to ask for an eighth.... whatever that is.

Khamr isn't only used for alcohol. It includes all types of drugs.

Khamr means something that covers your intellect or lowers your ability to think clearly.

That's why khamr(drugs) is considered to be the mother of evil. So technically Somalis are committing a huge sin by taking in and eating khat but it is even larger offense to consume alcohol since drugs have different degrees on how they affect the body and vary on how strong they are and how much they cloud your thought.

In conclusion,Somalis are committing a major sin by chewing khat but it is not as major as consuming alcohol and doing Zina

"Feelings of remorse and guilt are natural reflections of sinning, if the person who has sinned has a conscious which is alive.

After committing a sin, a person who fears Allah and give high respect to Him would feel a sense of despondency and despair thinking, "How will God forgive me for this sin?" However, it is noteworthy that despairing of God's mercy is in itself one of the major sins in Islam for God is ever merciful, ever forgiving." We all commit sins but I'm saying you should know as a muslim it is wrong especially major sins and if you know that in your heart wouldn't you feel guilty? Anyways people like her would probably call the Prophet (PBUH) an extremist if he was living on this earth today subhanallah so don't pay her any mind
Don't care about any of these guys. Stand by your views walal.

A lot of them hate hearing the truth and recieving reality checks. Instead of worrying about themselves and reflecting upon their sins. They go ahead and blame everything external. "The old Somalis used to do it as well......." "Even the ottomans sultans drank....." blah blah blah..... I wonder, do these guys only follow the religion when it benefits them? What do they mean by the previous Somalis used to drink? Do they follow the religion for their ancestors or for themselves?

All the people opposing you are the same ones who turn a blind eye whenever the saqajaans of this forum try their best to influence the good members to lead a life of degeneracy. Some of the users even try making fun of me for making the anti-ogrophy threads.

We're in a muslim majority forum for God's sake. What did they expect to hear? Did they think that they would be comforted for their sins or what?

Walle this shit is just too funny.

Look at our dear @Ayubi . The boy used to come in here with Islamic reminders and would always add an inshallah at the end of everything but just look at him now. The poor boy is using the words malab and blowjob very often.
