I left the love of my life because I thought I could do better. Now I'm childless and alone at 42

A reminder to all the halimos out there, Somali or non-Somali living "their best life".

Be careful about your actions while in your prime, otherwise there is a huge possibilty that you will end up like the woman in the article.

Bogus.

In life u get what u put your energy on. But more importantly, you do as your boss upstairs tells you to do. (incase u r confused as to the boss-- GOD--- )

Meaning, sometimes u can put ALL your energy on something and u do not get it. Because God, almighty, Allaah swt has not chosen that for you. Your own God, who created you, knows you better than you know yourself!

"Now I am 42 and have all the trappings of success - a high-flying career, financial security and a home in the heart of London's trendy Notting Hill. But I don't have the one thing I crave more than anything: a loving husband and family."

She fought hard to get that "high flying career"! It does not come easy. You put energy in it. That is your devil.

"Today, seeing friends with their children around them tortures me, as I know I am unlikely ever to have a family of my own. I think about the times Matthew and I talked about having children, even discussing the names we would choose. I cannot believe I turned my back on so much happiness.Instead, here I am back on the singles market, looking for the very thing I discarded with barely a backward glance all those years ago."

That is the devil in your thinking the grass is greener on the other side. You are envious of what others have.

In truth "Matthew" might be hairy, bad in bed, or not a suitable temperament mate for her.

Aren't you bosnian? Why do you care? Both xalimos and faraaxs live their best life in diaspora. Xalimos enjoy child support and benefits while faraaxs go to a trip in kenya.

@Muji

If you want me
Where's my dough
Give me money
Buy me clothes
No need for talking
Have my dough
Where's my money
Where's my clothes
If you want me
Where's my dough
Give me money
Buy me clothes
No need for talking
Have my dough
Where's my money
Where's my clothes

Talk is talk, and talk is cheap
Tell it to her, don't say it to me
'Cause I know, I'm in control
See tricks are for kids, and boo I'm too old
Go 'head, with your games
Don't ever come back, to me again
Where you go, remember me
I'm the best thing in history
Why you all in my grill (why, why, why)
Can you pay my bills (can you pay my bills)
Let me know if you will (let me know, boy, boy)
'Cause a chick gotta live (a chick got to live, ooh yea)
