They had equal impact on black movement tbh, could be argued X had a bigger impact because he always stayed authentic to his message
MLK was simply just the lesser of two evils
They both supported nonviolent protesting but Malcolm X was definitely ok with physical violence/ protesting listen to the speech the ballot or the bullet (something MLK would never say)
Near the end of his life MLK started to pick up X traits, but MLK has his day because he appeals to white society more than X does and is more popular globally than X

MLK and Malcom X goals werent the same, MLK wanted desegregation while Malcom advocated the complete separation of African Americans from whites.
Pretty stupid to make a Malcom X day when he wanted the opposite.

Malcolm X believed Jews had a "grip on the news media" and suggested Jews who claimed to be friends of the black man had ulterior motives. Recently, his quotes have been featured on anti-Semitic and white nationalist websites such as Jew Watch and American Renaissance.

Malcolm X was Muslim and believed in separation while MLK believed in assimilation. MLK appeals more to the white audience as he put the burden on black people to ‘do the right thing’ ie “turn thy cheek” whereas Malcolm X advocated for self sufficiency and self defense. Malcolm X threatened the status quo, while MLK maintained it. AA’s, irrespective of their religion, would’ve have been better off as a whole had they listened to Malcolm X.

for sure! African Americans always do better for themselves when they unionise and help themselves but each time that happens white America steps in to kill whoever is leading this idea.

Yes. Black people help too. The NOI allegedly* had something to do with Malcolm X’s death.

He was an intelligent, charismatic, delusional man. Had he been the main person of the civil rights movement, Blacks would be in a far, far worse position then they were in today.

MLK's tactics may have been far less radical, but they did so much good.

I doubt there were many allies to his cause back in the 50s/ early 60s.
