I sometimes wonder does Puntland choose the wrong partners to negiotate with in Somalia? do we even 'examine' their past, history, agendas, opportunities available for both sides to reach a mutually beneficial deal? PL/SL thing has been at war since 2002 and it looks silly to the world when we can't even prove our administrations are effective. He just recieved a nobel prize for showing the world he ended ethio/eritrea war that Abiy guy. Why? he is the only leader who presented a solution while all the leaders before him did nothing to solve the problem.
PL/SL need to resolve the SSC matters urgently and forget the(we get more aid by having more region nonsense), you want to speak to a world to show 'responsible' and solution focused and not like the rest of Somalia who is conflict driven? I don't see any evidence to present to the world that PL or SL are really reliable partners to cut any sort of deal with because they can't even manage to hold a deal over SSC. It actually hurts our long-term prospects as both regions.
I am willing be the first to place the solutions that will satisfy the PL side on the table.
1. Referendum on Somaliland claimed 5 regions. As long as it's the will of the people in each 5 regions, meaning 60% majority are secessionist in Sool/Sanaag/Ayn. I will accept these outcome and respect their will and show my maturity as Puntlannder
2. PL/Hargeisa need to cut a deal. We will block HY/HJ using our port so their not independent from Hargeisa rule, plus their disempowerment has made them a nuisance regionally such as the head of shabab in galgala and we have evidence a HJ killed the garowe imam and was caught and we know what HY is doing in galgala from security council reports.
Caare after all his propaganda we saw how they handed himself into muse bihi showing he has no 'go'an' adag and therefore there is to much evidence to support HY/HJ in PL and we must sacrifice them back to their master Sacad muse. I think this is the reason why Sacad muse are not happy with PL. We welcomed their 'dissidents' and gave them laccess to a port lifeline to challenge their 'control'. Lets send them back home as their 'double swindling' and 'turn themselves in' always and flip flop, they will do the same to anyone else they partner with. By doing this gesture of good will to SL, we want all HARTI regions to be respected as PL and do not open up an 'avenue' for them in Hargeisa to become a 'dissident' in PL.
I support trying a 'sacad muse' deal. They have a 'stake' such as hargeisa capital-berbera port. They are the brains and elites of their clan historically and till today they seem to show they have 'go'an' and not 'flip flop' too much and therefore not 'risky' partnership. Only negative I see is their not as dominant in Isaaq triangle to take 'full control' like Majerten in PL. Plus their 'reer mahad' are basically up in 'arms' the HY.
