Magical Jinns

My recently arrived uncle always plays extremely loud Quran to my Autistic family member at night time. His rational is that he wants to cure him from "djinns".

Any other people have to go through this?

My aunt used to do this before my dad intervened and said it's not jinns. She was adament it was cause he was semi-verbal from the ages of 6 to 9 they went to quran saar every week which didn't help since he started to develop a phobia of going.

Somalis will gladly fake disabilities to claim/cheat benefits but won’t acknowledge mental disabilities.

‘ if the shoe fits’
When I was young jinns were scary and shit but now the last jinn story I heard was a Somali mum saying her daughter was possessed at times which is why she used to go parties and drink at times. :gucciwhat:

The word gets thrown out it’s too liberal, barely holds weight anymore. Remember when you used to get told the djinn is urinating in your ear when you overslept and missed fajr. That’s when it started becoming a joke:drakelaugh:

DEACTIVATED!
Although listening to Quran is very calming and can help ease and calm us.
Our community need to understand that autism and other disabilities isn't something to be shameful about.
It really breaks my heart thinking about the ones back home being chained like prisoners because their families can't handle them.

Hahahahahahahahhahahaha

They always say it's the djinn or shaytan that made them do X. Its an easy fall back instead of taking responsibility.

No habrayar your daughter didn't give him a BJ because she was possessed.

I’ve currently been possessed for 4 years. Those pesky jinns made me agnostic :( I’m waiting for the jinns to leave so I can become Muslim again.

the last time I dealt with djinn possession, it was when my qat-addict cousin convinced his poor hooyo and aabe that he was possessed by jinn , they called this old part-time wadaad in the middle of the night to read quraan to him .
I was told to hold his legs because he was acting crazy .
i was laughing because I knew the nigga was lyin he just wanted some money for jaad , the poor old man kept reading to him till 5 am .

the next day he was just fine ,chilling, they bought him some jaad :ileycry:

My folks used to turn on Baqarah to cleanse the house when we were in Tunis, esp. It seemed very much like there were Jinns creeping out there in the desert. Somehow, it isn’t the same vibe here.

I haven’t seen people do it out here w/ any consistency, but it’s in a hadith to play Baqarah in the evenings bc of Jinn.

I don’t mind Quran at all. I enjoy a good recitation from the first Surahs (the longer ones in the beginning, which have substance/a narrative).

The best Qari is Saud Al Shuraim (maybe bc we grew up on him):

Lmfaoo wow my fave reciter was Shuraim aswell. I even have favourite Surahs and favourite other reciters for specific surahs.
This is probably my fave Surah and my fave reciter for the specific Surah. The quran is quite poetic and sounds nice ngl, but that’s only because it’s in a foreign language and can’t understand most of it :ftw9nwa:

Yeah, I like this one too.

It’s just as nice, probably better, when you can understand it. I can mostly understand Baqarah, but this one is more complex to understand, bc there’s terms/words I don’t know, but I can still get the gist.

I think Arabic is a neat language on its own merit. I like their music as well, and their poetry. I think the language is a merit to the Quran rather than the other way around. But maybe if we were exposed to the Torah in Hebrew, or Vedas in Sanskrit, I’d be saying the same thing.

I always sleep while Surah Baqarah playing and when I leave in the morning I put it on and leave.

My dukes played surah al baqarah in my room because I woke up the day before and it felt like my soul was being ripped out of my body and I thought I was about to go to hell :damn:

Turns out I was just high as fukk :pachah1:

@beenleey and @VixR you girls took a break from spirituality because it became a nuisance to your lifestyle but deep down you know you are missing something. Being Agnostic is a sign of hunger for God. More Quraan Saar might fix your screwed up heads :ftw9nwa:
