Some notes/highlights from the video

  • Interviewer asks what made him change on how he is portrayed in the media ('he was a sponsor of terrorism'). Says his liberal ideas makes the white countries uncomfortable so they brand him as 'evil' in the media
  • He says that liberal movements are not well received in the West and are branded as terrorist movements
  • Interviewer talks about how Gaddafi was one of the first leaders to oppose Osama bin Laden and called for his arrest. Gaddafi replies that he is against terrorist groups and he disagrees with their ideologies.
  • He says the difference between a liberator and terrorist is the first wants to liberate his land, while terrorists want to kill people and have no plan. Also says that says Al Queda has no justification to exist. Confirms 9/11 was a terrorist act.
  • asks why his image has softened and why do people believe he is able to live peacefully w/ the Western world. Gaddafi basically responds he is against western colonialism so he has to be strong, but that his position changed because of economic aid, etc. Acknowledged he did have nuclear powers but they reviewed it. Interviewer says he abandoned nuclear powers to avoid same fate as Saddam. Gaddafi responded that's not so & discussions was made with supreme powers before Iraq war.
  • He also says he wants Obama to be president forever and that he is different from the Yankees (white America) due to his Arabic and Islamic roots lol.
