I wouldn't care for large cities, I think statistically they say Somalis highly rural not urban, the ratio is 60-40 I think now for PL. This means 'villages' need more emphasis then the cities. Plus u can tell economically speaking if livestock stopped, our economy would be dead, indicating our largest population group are rural people and not so much urban people or else urbanites would dominate the economy.

Burco is tiny population wise, they all shifted to hargeisa u need to take that into account, similar to how shabellaha is dead today their all in hamar camps. A-lot of facts aren't spoken in Somalia.

PL has 3 large cities, 2 of which are trade corridors of galkayo and bosaso, an administrative capital in garowe. But it's rural population is tremendously high and u can confirm by our livestock in bosaso at hajj season. Isaaq isn't even the size of Osman Mahmoud, don't let them fool u, if they were, u think they wud be protesting all over the world.

what they fail to understand is sade is a nomadic tribe sxb, marehan own the most camels in somalia. there was a study found and it foudn that gedo has the most camels in somalia. hargeysa before the civil war was smaller then the likes of baidao and today it is 4 times its size. it is because a lot of isaaq nomadic people settled and became urbanized while majority of darod especially in mudug/ ddsi and jubbaland are nomadic

imagine of bosaso was a shared city like hargeysa, where marehan, harti and ogadeen settled in large numbers. it would be the size of mogadishu.

I could argue parts of hargeysa u left out but i wont and I'll give you the extra 8sqkm for kismayo

12 Sqkm bosaaso, 4sq in lascanod, 16 SQ km kismayo, 8 SQ km Garowe and 2sq km badhan, I will add 13sqkm which is more than half of Galkacyo since I'm being generous. That's 55sqkm total vs Hargeysa 57sqkm.


Since u tell it how it is, now use your same mafs for all those cities combined

How much of the economy is livestock based, this can give us a good idea where the population is? but we need a definitive methodology not just some random guess like @SirLancelLord people do in they're ministries. If Somalia GDP is 7 billion, how much of it is rural based? they say 60-80% which are figures I read(but no methodology provided). So based on that the Rural folks could possibly own 4.2 billion of the economy if they own 60% of GDP.

But garowe has 1000 villages, hargeisa has none. If I take 20 villages and combine it, it's larger then hargeisa. U want ppl to accept your flawed method of calculating because u think hargeisa land mass will again give ur people some numerical supremacy, this is why somali conference fail. Those four districts are the most populated districts in Pland and were the majority of Planders live. Hargeisa district seems to be more populous than all of those four combined.

They do not even come close to Hargeysa district, even combined. I agree that south of Galkacyo is very populated, but it's Galmudug. I don't blame Puntland for not holding elections. If they'd do, it would come out the whole population is not bigger than 500-700k. There is no other explanation for not holding elections, if you are peaceful for so many years.

Somaliland stopped the UN population estimates back in Siilaanyo's time cause it was not looking favorable. They said we are suspending it cause we don't believe the Puntland figures. You would think their so-called government is run by the same individuals on Somalispot.

There's nothing generous about the number, it's in line with other estimations prior to the PESS. The 4.3 million is most likely fake, no different than Somaliland claiming 4.8 million in 2015.

If Mog and Hargeisa are so large in comparison to PL/JL, then it would own the largest share of the GDP. Why is it Darod own livestock trade and basically 80% of all the 'money' in Somalia? Wallahi Mogadishu port/airport is proof never invest in the hawiye areas, you don't get an economic return, thats why sfg is still funded by foreign govt, go read its budget its not from port/airport, yet their dumping more money into such a failed city. I don't know if it's 80% of the livestock trade but it's most certainly the most livestock. The livestock populations of Puntland and Somaliland were neck and neck but they lost 80% of in the drought 3 years ago and are still recovering.

None of it will matter when the south becomes peaceful and there will be millions of hectares of farmland open for cultivation, the economy will completely tip in favor of the south unless natural resources are found in the north.
