In Islam, it is forbidden (haram) to abort the fetus and if this is done, it would result in the Diyah1 having to be paid. The Diyah is the responsibility of the person who was in charge of carrying out the abortion.

I've never in my life heard of diya being paid for a abortion.

Abortion is permissible under certain conditions I'm not here to argue that lol . From the top of my head I know if the mother's life is in danger she can abort same with , rape and if the baby has defects that can severely haram it's life and can't be cured.

Sayyid al-Sabiq, author of Fiqh al-Sunnah, has summarized the views of the classical jurists in this regard in the following words:

Abortion is not allowed after four months have passed since conception because at that time it is akin to taking a life, an act that entails penalty in this world and in the Hereafter. As regards the matter of abortion before this period elapses, it is considered allowed if necessary. However, in the absence of a reasonable excuse it is detestable.

I'm not sure why you linked this cause it states here what I just said about there are cases in which abortion is allowed. But to this diya thing it doesn't expand why you need to pay it and it's sources . This isn't a derailment you just said " Abortion is murder" and dipped think about what you say

Im not 100% sure man, but I searched up is abortion haram and this link popped up.

Yeah bro I've never heard of diyah being given over an abortion, I have dugsi today I'll ask my teacher if you're interested. There is generally a scholarly agreement on abortion and what is considered acceptable though ,there's no way there wouldn't be expections to this rule . Allah is the best of planners .

This is actually a lucrative business, I have a young cousin who impregnates girls he flirted with and then forces them to have an abortion. After they abort the baby, he threatens to blackmails the girls into giving him money or else he will show the receipt and messages to their parents. After he receives the blackmail money he still shows their parents the receives and cries that the girls killed his baby who he was planning on raising.

He threatens the parents that he will go to Islamic scholars and ruin their reputation or they pay a small diyah money (since he lives in the West he usually asks for a few thousands)

He travels allover Europe and collected close to a half a million from hoejabis

If such a person existed Hell is 100 % there destination by Shinkansen as well if they don't repent.

Abortion is murder no skipping around that. If there is a serious health risk carrying the baby to term then obviously it should be allowed. For casual reasons no. It's not a women's rights issue it's a human rights issue
