100 Years of Immigration to The U.S (1919 to 2019)

Italians & Germans(and other European folks) were the main/traditional source of immigrants to the USA. Every thing changed in 1971, the Hombres/Mexicans zoomed past the Europeans and are still the largest source of immigration to the USA.

They changed the rules drastically in 1965 as a consequence of the civil rights era and making all institutions racially egalitarian.

Latinos were artificially kept out before that time.

I really doubt that will happen. Hispanics(Mestizo kind) have high intermarriage rates with other American groups like Whites for example. Plus, most third & fourth generation Mexican-Americans only speak English and are culturally "American" with an Mexican twist.

Assimilation is in full swing in America like it always has been. USA is known as the graveyard of languages btw.

What's interesting about US migration history is that there are way more Irish Americans in the US now than in the entire country of Ireland.

The Irish mass migrated to the US in the 1700s/1800s when birth rates among Westerners were still high.

They are too close to Mexico. Latin culture was always present and is becoming dominant again. Whites arent having kids and will peter out soon

I've noticed that English ancestry/heritage is always under represented in the USA. English Americans are literally invisible in the country they founded. I guess the founding stock(English Americans) are seen as no different to the quintessential American & people are unable to separate the two identities from each other.
