A man a women are different whether you like it or not. A father can’t teach a girl certain things in life. Nor can a women teach a boy. Single mothers are the strongest people on earth. But don’t undermine a good father just because it may not be common in your life.

I just don’t believe that a father can teach his son things a mother can’t. A responsible father can teach their daughter all they need to know about being a women just the same way a mother can to her son

It is not the single mother's fault if she is alone (she is praiseworthy for raising her children without a father), however there is only so much she can do

But I agree , we need to support and be nice to the single moms.

I know a few Somali families in my area with poor or absentee ee dads, I give those kids lunch money every week, cause it puts less stress on the mom. Sometimes if they text me I’ll pick them up from their bus stop and drive them home. I paid for 1 kids college/uni application fee cause nobody would give them money for it.

But why can’t we all as a community do that ? Why are we so selfish? I never understood that.

But we have the energy for useless ‘talk’ shows but never real concise actions. Fucking Somalis!

I think it all comes down to whether the household is poor or not. My dad was involved in politics and business that he had no time to stay home. So basically my mom had the responsibility of looking after us but didn't have to worry about money. Also i mostly grew up in Nairobi so i think that played a huge role

I could tell you single mothers are numerous among Whites as well. It’s just that they don’t typically start at the bottom in a shitty neighborhood, comparatively. And they have more capital. Over half of the people I’ve know have divorced parents, but they typically know/ see their fathers regularly/semi-regularly.

You can’t control divorce rates. You can, however, select for coparenting if you do divorce. Somalis don’t, really. It’s like they divorce the kids as well.

who really coparents in general? usually one parent wins custody and the payments/alimony and the other moves on
