Who’s paying for Mahr?

@kickz and @Samaalic Era (too late for you but in case you want a second wife)

You should look for xalimos who would rather spend money on their holidays or doing something useful rather than wasting it on weddings. I know many girls like this, it will save you some coins :icon lol:

Indeed sxb. The reason why many xalimos want extravagant wasteful spending in regards to marriage is because they believe that the more money spent on the wedding, the higher her value and status is with her peers

At least we have the luxury to debate. Check the documentary I posted. In India women pay the mehr so when a woman is pregnant with a girl they kill the baby. Obviously the rich one don’t care.
There was another documentary on a French channel where the girl’s father paid 800K as a mehr.

Going on holiday is actually great and a good quick way to learn more about each other.
Like @TekNiKo said, the farax that marries you is a lucky ba......:samwelcome:

I remeber an Indian co-worker who was saving up for her mehr but she stated that she has been saving up for 5 years but she still needs to save for more in the coming years:damn:

Indians are another kind of species, it’s a known knowledge that the man pays, subhumans wallahi :nahgirl:

Yeah usually they ask for crazy amounts.
Honestly it’s sad. Personally I couldn’t careless about mehr. Money comes and goes. Spend it on charity at least or save.

At least we don’t have to pay meher to the man like timo jileecs.

On top of that the brides father has to pay for the all the wedding costs . Some families even treat their daughter in law badly because her parents didn’t pay enough.

Alhamdullilah for being Muslim.

I want a massive mehr just to bully my husband :ulyin:reminding him everyday about how much money he’ll lose if I get a divorce or he does,
He’d never consider a second wife and would quietly mob the floor:lolbron:I need to exercise my inferiority complex somewhere :banderas:

You've just reminded me to thank Allah for making me a Somali

Can you ask for mehr like ''1/5th of his wealth'' instead of an actual price?:cosbyhmm:
I'd be so mad if I married a man and I asked for a low mehr to be given after divorce, and after some time he becomes a millionaire and divorces you and gives you 1k (which doesn't mean anything to him since he's a millionaire). Embarrassing

I have no intention of paying somebody to be my wife. Everything that's mine becomes hers anyway and vice versa, why put such a financial burden on one party when you're supposed to be a team?

A generous gift to her family is something I'm more than willing to do, however.

@IftiinOfLife wants to emasculate her husband by paying him mehr instead:meleshame:

I'm willing to make you my fourth husband. I will give a mehr of $50k and a lavish vacation. There are some requirements though. I'll need a buffet prepared the moment I enter through the door. I also expect the house to be spotless. Other than that, you'll be living a bougie life. You need to remember that this is a once in a lifetime offer. I could easily go to Somalia and find a Farax who's willing to get married for 1/4 of the mahr.
