I’m not angry. I’m just not vested into something that’s clearly anti-me. Maybe some people can grapple with the harsh realities of something that hates and fails to appreciate them and still love it, or feel like they owe it something. Somali culture and most Somali men fit that. It’s not easy to come to terms with. But if you don’t, you’ll slowly lose yourself when there’s a whole world out there.
