Somalis in Denmark

I might be biased, but i feel like everyone i know is educated or getting an education, rarely do i see somali bums or school drop outs. Maybe because there isnt that many somalis in Denmark to form a ghetto but you're instead forced to integrate. Any Somalis in Denmark? or maybe Norway Whats your opinion

But on the other hand somalis in Denmark are culturally lost, they barely speak the language. Completely whitewashed

I barely hear of danish Somalis which is good since the more you hear of a diaspora the more troublesome they are. I doubt they intergrate into danish society tho since most immigrants in Denmark stick together and barely integrate that the Danish government had to start tacking the issue and give all the little kids in migrant ghettos mandatory danish cultural classes. Deffo not whitewashed but rather integrated into the migrant communities forgetting their own culture.

But that isnt that much the somali community tho, more the Arab and turkish which there is a lot of.

I know its mostly Arabs but surely the Somali community would be living among them? Sadly, I highly doubt danish Somalis don't live in ghettos like they tend to in most other countries :/

ofc they do, But you cant really call them "ghettos". They are nowhere near the level of ghettos like the UK and even sweden. And Denmark does a good job with that, If you are a new refugee or you dont get to chose where to live

You answered your own question, there isn’t enough of them to start trouble. The more Somalis in a place the more they are in the news for all the wrong reasons. We have Somalis in Portland, Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey But do you hear about them? No, all you hear about is Somalis in MN, Ohio, and Seattle that’s where majority of Somalis live.

Depends on how many there are.

The other day i saw a grade statistic, immigrants grades and native danish. at the top was Vietnamese 2nd was Danish 3rd was Pakistani and fourth was Somali the rest were Iraqi, Palestinian Syrian and Turkish at the buttom. And Somalis are newer immigrants compared to Turkish and Pakistanis

Somalis don't integrate well in Denmark.
Most are on welfare and on the immigrant statistics they're rated high on crime and unemployment .. All in all we are not rated well in DK :francis:

Out of all the Scandi Somalis the most you hear about is Swedish Somalis. You don't hear much about Denmark, Finland, or Norway.
