How was 2019 gone?

2019 has been a great year, accomplished several career and personal milestones. It was a tough and grinding year. I almost wanted to give up on a goal but I continued and successfully completed it. After hitting rock bottom in 2014 & 2015, I've been on a steady growth since 2016. I accomplished the things I wanted to accomplish in the coming years in this year alone. I only have two things in my to do list, and inshaAllah it's gonna be in 2020.

What a year. Alhamdulilah

It started of horribly but got a lot better and the second half of the year overcompensated for the bad few months at the beginning. 2019 has probably been my best year yet. 2020 will be a great year hopefully ❤️

It's was a good but I feel like progress has slowed down significantly since 2016. I'm in a very privilege positions right now but it's not enough. I'm hungry for more but I've become to comfortable to take any risk and becoming more risk averse as time goes on. Not nice.

2019 has been great year for me alhamdulillah compared to 2018. I will keep my blessings close to my chest don't want to jinx it for 2020.

So far,

2019 > 2018 < 2017 > 2016 < 2015 > 2014 < 2013 > 2012 < 2011 < 2010.

According to my research, 2020 is projected to be a bad year but i really want to break the cycle. :ivers:

2019 has been really good Alx, reached a career milestone, only called in sick once, no loss of income due to bad decisions, haven't caught a flight due to consistent grind. Made the most out of the hot girl summer and no nut november. :banderas:

I'm planning a big trip next year iA it may either be the US or Australia. I'm gonna need to choose between Cali and Melbourne, but i want both. 2020 will be a make or break year.
Usa sucks! Go to australia. Do it for me hhhh

@Mckenzie

Why Melbourne? If you’ve family there, spend only a week or less, otherwise you will be bored in that city unless you want to check the nightspots every night and sleep all day like my cousins from the States did. They went out every night and slept all day. If not, get out of Melbourne and spend some time in East Gippsland, it’s a coastal wilderness region with lakes and Alpine high country. A perfect place during summer because it’s a nature wonderland. If you can give Melbourne a miss, fly to Sydney, see Australia’s most well known beach called Bondi (50% of those in the beach are tourists) nicknamed the Copacabana in the Southern Hemisphere. From Sydney, travel by land (train, bus, better via a hire car) through Northern New South Wales and enjoy the pristine beaches and the wilderness to Coffs Harbour and continue your journey all the way to Byron Bay. This journey is long, stay a couple of days in the towns along your route, there is always something to do in these towns if you like outdoor activities. From there, head to the Gold Coast (the Australian Ibiza) and to the Sunshine Coast.

2019 went by fast, I feel like years go by faster now than when we were younger :noneck:
There’s a pretty good explanation for this phenomenon.

when you’re five, one year is 1/5th of your life so it feels like forever. However, when you’re twenty, one year is 1/20th of your life and therefore feels way faster. The more you age the more your perception of how long a year feels gets shorter etc.... that’s why they say time flies fast as you get older.

Also heard time feels slower when you're making more memories ex. trying something for the first time or having an intense emotional experience which happens more often when you are younger.

2019 was bullshit, found out my dream career is bullshit and I’m too deep in to quit.
