When did you got there?

are you scared ?

Have you seen anything inspirational?

Have you a moment where you lost faith in the hell-hole?

What’s your projection of a peaceful Somalia?

Loool Mogadishu ain’t scary at all man. Maybe because I’ve been going there since young but trust me -especially now- it’s calm.

I went to Somalia once I left Minnesota, which was on the 15th November. I went due to the Mogadishu Tech Summit which was inspriational. It showed a future China- like Somalia. I was proud to speak in front of a crowd to show my love of Somalia and its development. I was so happy when I met the Mayor of Mogadishu and the deputy PM. It shown to me a new Somalia, a accountable, safe Somalia.

But I lost hope, completly in Somalia after Almaan's death AUN. If I said, I was with her in a confrence about reliance in Somalia by the EU, speaking to her a couple of hours before her death. She was bubbly and a pleasent person to speak with. I loved every minitue she spoke about Somalia, a true, kind person she was. Wallahi, hearing about her death, in a compound that I was in a matter of minitues ago and was the safest area of the WHOLE OF SOMALIA, was heart-breaking and I Lost all hope of Somalia, I was scared, and even thought about going to Djibouti and quit the whole project that I came for. I hated the place after a near-death experience, when a guard shot a bullet "accidently", since he was removing it. It was 1 cm near my head. Literlly flew over me and hit a mirror behind me. Just shocking.

With my current mentality and state, I ain't projecting no peacefulness. 30 Years of war and dispute and I see 30 more, If Something does not change, it looks like nothing will occur!

Hell no. Mogadishu can be scary. This trip was just horrendous. Too many near-death experience, and this is coming from a guy that was going left, right and center of the world!

Back in 2014, I was living life, Mogadishu was a beautiful place, lovly, no worries!

Good grief!

You almost boarded the bus to aakhiro

Btw nothing is an accident. Ofc he’ll say I misplaced a bullet.

Have you noticed the deceiving sense of calmness at first. I mean the fact that you can have a moment of tranquility while there on certain period and then you’re shook to your core when you discover that you were inches away from death. Somalia is like raising a tiger like cadaans do. Some moments it makes you foolishly play with it and see its magnificence but that thing will pounce on you and snap your neck.

I share your sentiments walaal. I don’t think Somalia will prosper because there are external forces who are committed to ensuring that it remains in chaos. There’s a lot of corruption and xaasidnimo. I buried Somalia after Hodan Naleyah’s death (AUN). I don’t ever want to visit that place. Wa meel inkarsaan. Those who scream Nabad iyo Nolol are delusional.

edit: I know I’m politically incorrect but I don’t care. If I do travel to East Africa, I’m staying in Kenya, Tanzania, Djibouti or Ethiopia. Balaayo Somalia ha adeey.

Why do you then attack me for warning people to stay put in their Western adopted country.

I’ve made a list of the next lottery picks. It is not because I’m hating on them or I want them dead. It is for me to open your eyes and to get it. First thing to healing is acknowledging what ills you.

Still no worries for me tbh. I’m gonna go again either April or June. :)

It was really calm. The Tech Summit was the highlight of the trip. Then everything after that was just horroudous. My peace was shattered and disturbed. I would be crying at night, thinking that what if it was a little move, or a warning to me. I need to pattern up and start being a Shiekh! Not only shatterted to core, but just demorlised. I was igonring calls from my wife and spend time in the mosque in the hotel, just repenting and cryingQ

Misplaced, he said, it was a accident, how can you remove all the bullets and leave one in there! Russian Roulette or something!

Who’s “us?” I’m not the one causing havoc among innocent people. I’m in the diaspora living my life. The issue has to do with SOMALIA as a whole.

When I mean us, I mean the whole community of Somalis. We tolorate stuff like this. Its like a button, keep pressing and you get a response. Put a stop to it, no response. I was told that one of the guy who killed that Bantu man, was released secreatly the other day. Not a word!
