If is this is true Caynaba district will become the scene of heavy fighting.

@Bohol I don't think SL oil is possible under SL govt maybe under Somalia it's possible as they will calculate all of the land mass from galgaduud to burco and bosaso as 'one big ass field' but just that small acreage not possible.
The land in SL is to small, the investment that goes into isn't worth the profits returned. There is a reason why Jabuti isn't explored and has the same geology as Somalia. The reason is the acreage isn't worth the effort, time, and money.
Ogadeniya is different story. PL vastly different story due to their coastline being 40% of Somalia and the land-mass 1/3 of Somalia. Notice they can't dig 'awdal' also in SL, It's impossible for areas that are farm land to have oil reserves, it will mean all the land has to be leased out to the oil company to dig wells and the farmers need to be moved of the estate, oil companies do not do co-sharing arrangement, it's all land or nothing and the liklihood of that happening for such small awdal acreage isn't likely.
I am exploring the land sizes of real oil producing countries as we speak and finding out the country with the smallest land mass cuz that's good indicator if oil isn't even possible in SL.

Well Kuwait is pretty tiny 17,818 SQ KM. That's not even 'Garowe district. Maybe I am wrong. But I am not wrong the land the oil needs to be dug needs to be unsettled like desert or arid land where there is no use for it for any other reason. The only one I found that is farming oil field is in Nigerian areas but they're no farmers there now, they been moved of the acreage for oil reserves. U need to trade farming for oil looks like, since the land isn't your anymore if sold off. It's impossible to dig in Somalia farm lands, ppl will lose all their homes. I wish we had some big ass empty farm land in Somalia like Nigeria, the south could them possibly have oil done

Oog is the location of the biggest Somaliland military base. It’s 90% HJ district land wise but tbh they might even kick up a stink themselves.

Look at the map Oog (SY) is near the south center of the district. HJ settle west of Oog while SY settle in east of Oog then further east at Gumays you enter Dhulo territory.
Caynaba is a Dhulbahante town. We left as HJ moved next door with help from the forced tribal integration agenda by the British. We left voluntarily due to being too proud to live with a people we used to refuse our wells to, chase to mountain tops and dominate. Some doolo still live there but not many. If oil is discovered it will be a return to the old times :siilaanyosmile:
