I’m seeing a lot of Muslims quoting this tweet saying they’ll vote for trump bc of this lol

I might vote for Trump’s second term just off the merit of his non-interventionist U.S. military policies. That alone is preserving for our economic well-being.

Interesting. I was just reading how the E.U imposed massive tariffs on certain Chinese products. The fear of the “yellow peril” is real.

The question is will Trump take Uighur Chinese Muslim refugees? The U.S has dramatically decreased its refugee intake to 18,000 places and the majority of them were reserved for minority religions like the Iraqi and Syrian Christians. Will the Uighur refugees be considered as one of these minorities? I highly doubt.

America was silently bringing in Rohingya Muslims and housing them since 2001 with a second larger wave in 2010, way before the large headlines of their prosecution made World news, there’s new Rohingya getting settled in the States up to this date.

I would’nt doubt America’s altruistic spirit but it’s probably much more difficult to reach out to Uyghur’s since most aren’t in foreign refugee camps were they can be easily found and situated

I have no doubt about the Rohingya Muslims been brought to America even till two months ago and there were even Somalis who were approved (don’t know how given the Somali ban) till that date, but Trump has slashed refugee numbers 2/3’s to 18,000 & openly declared that he will only bring Christian minorities and Yazidis from Iraq and Syria. There are plenty of Uyghur refugees in Central Asia. But he won’t touch them given that his re-election message is ‘I slashed the migration of the Muslim hordes and they are not coming in bigger numbers on my watch.’ He demonised China for human rights abuses, but calls Kim Jong-un my pal. How does that work? Don’t read too much into his newly found “love” for Muslims and in particular the Uyghur people. It’s politics.

I know Trump is potentially volatile and always self serving but I still feel he’s less nefarious then his counterparts just because of his transparency and easily read motives.

I think of him as a lesser of two evils rather then or someone I idolize or full heartedly support.

And honestly I retract my original statement, politics isn’t my realm of of expertise and I’m not qualified to make any statements on it.

In Australia, voting is compulsory and if you don't vote at all levels of governments (Federal, State and Council elections) you will be fined and luckily the penalty for not voting is only $20.00. I skipped many times and happily paid the fines.
