Yep. U nailed it. Its too much baggage. Honestly, I am not bragging, had I not been fiercely intelligent, I probably would have had lots of friends and be ok with intimacy. I enjoy my own company too much. I push my kids away too

You need friends humans are social creatures. I too went through a phase of isolating myself. Mostly because of school, but you will regret on missing out. Find people who have similar interests as you and just be friendly and open.

Show interest in what they have to say. Soon time you'll have a nice group of people you can call to hang out with on offdays

When your on your alone time, read the quran, recite it and try to memorize it, and make dua to Allah to grant you what you want and ask for his forgiveness continuously.

Perform good deeds like giving sadaqah and reciting the Quran etc and do it privately only for the sake of Allah.

Before you do a good deed, make sure it’s only for Allahs sake and don’t tell anyone about the good deed you did, not even your close ones.

Try to develop your link with Allah and improve your iman.

Remember, every action you do is judged by its intentions so make sure the good deeds you do is only for Allahs sake. This is how you remember Allah. Once you have him in your life you’ll be very content.
