We south africans are and should be the best role models for Somali Diaspora, although the struggles and sufferings we've endured in the couple past years have made us stronger and united under the Somali banner .

Yes we suffered like hell because our piece of shit government never valued human life and failed to protect us
Their incompetence forced us to be exiles worldwide.
Despite migrating to a new world away from Somalia , starting from scratch away from isbaaro the world we grew up in
our expectations turned our world upside down really quick when we were struck with reality it made us realise how dysfunctional we were our people are not valued at all because we never valued ourselves .

I remember fistfights would often occur in townships somali owned maqaaxi between Hawiye Isaaq MJ
and OGs , fighting and arguing all day over petty feuds meanwhile we were killed like cockroaches
The authorities never cared for our wellbeing due to being immigrants worst of worst if shit happened they turn on a blind eye

We were at the bottom of the pile no different from the ones living in shanty towns until Nigerians Zimbabweans Ethiopians flooded SA
We were long forgotten
We had to assimilate to their culture way of life learn Xhosa and Afrikaans to avoid xenophobia but still happens not like the old days though (intense)
We never received fundings from government assistance it's practically non existence and even harder for the average south african to be entitled to something that's citizenship grant loans ,
we somalis had to loan money from crooks, to set up bussinessess and pay them back when we yield enough money
Hard life we hustled really hard so we are not used to free money just like you spoiled western brats living off people's taxpayers killing each over neighbourhoods that aren't technically yours .
You guys should be humble that such privileges exist in your world but you dumb folks argue over reer hennessy and reer mindi (uk) pathetic tbh
Best universities in those countries yet there a few somali graduates.

My friends and known colleagues had dreamt going some of them died trying to get to the Western world perished in South America .


It has definitely shaped us not a single of us rely on someone from the west as we own wholesale stores innovating merchandises etc
