False SL has both offshore and onshore oil deposits. The fact you think Sool is the hotspot shows me how little you know. Somaliland main onshore oil drilling target right now is Oodhweyn in Togdheer. Sool might have oil plus Sanaag too. Both are ours anyways

The liklihood of oil being worth the millions of investment to drill, refine, export is not worth it in SL. The land is to small berbera-burco-hargeisa is 150 km. The amount of recoverable oil is low becuz the amount of reserves possible in 150 km landscape is low itself. Jabuti is prime example, it has oil but the 'acreage' is to small and not worth the investment. SL is no different.
You need like 40% of Somalia coastal waters Laaso Suraad to Garacad to even entertain such investors plus Bosaso to Galkayo is 750 KM land mass.
