American whites are more religious(only 3 percent atheist), and had stricter beginnings in the start religiously, a lot of things like nudity isn't really accepted here, parts of the Bible Belt are christian fundamentalists and make things like abortion illegal in their states

"The child never gave his consent!" is a pretty manipulative argument. Children don't consent to a lot of the things we make them do - be it attending classes, doing their chores, making them eat their veggies, etc. However, we would never use "consent" as a prerequisite for any of the aforementioned reasons we make them do those things. This is entirely because of the fact that we as the guardians of our offspring have concluded that these activities are beneficial for the child and that their input is not necessary in order to determine what is and what isn't best for them. Circumcision does not "mutilate" the child no so more than ear piercings do. The child's penis continues to work perfectly. Do to the virtually nonexistent cons of circumcising (that are easily balanced by the cons of not circumcising) + the potential religious convictions that can be motivated behind circumcision, gaals eventually jump on the defense of the lack of child "consent".
