I bought 1k worth of ripple a year ago when everyone was saying it would be the next bitcoin, I should’ve known better :bell: has anyone read the book rich dad, poor dad? My husband was reading it last month and I just picked it up out of curiosity and now I’m really interested in stocks. I don’t know where to begin, anyone know a good beginners guide to stocks? preferably Islamic friendly.

Hi merka, welcome back fam.

I know that’s Apple stock, but beyond that I have no idea what you’re saying :ftw9nwa:
Thanks glad to be back lol

Stock options are short to medium term trading strategy used to speculate on price movements or as a hedge for large stock investments.

He’s giving you the date for the call option. Basically you need to invest in Apple before the new iPhone comes out.

@Apollo @Abdalla @merka any of you bought Beyond Meat?

Also, Agronomics & BlueNalu are gems in the making hope you guys are eyeing them too.
I got into the BYND craze for a bit couple of months ago. Cant believe how high the stock went up.

But I probably wont be buying any of these plant based meat company stocks in the near future. They're extremely overpriced right now.

I'm also in a discord group as of now with bunch of white geeks. They solely buy vanguard etfs, which is basically efts of all the indexes ( Dow Jones, aex, Australian index, you name it). It has a quite low risk. They're making decent returns. I can invite you but they're Dutch geeks

I am also reading a nice article with strategies on how to retire earlier plus buy a house by saving 50% of your income and putting them in a fund. My good friend @larrythePuntite forwarded me that article.

Coincidentally, this articles also trades with vanguard. I was already in the vanguard discord before Larry send me this article.

But before getting into trading learn this basic skill which is SAVING. Make sure you save 10k. After paying all your bills, you can easily live on a 50 euros a week budget for your groceries. I know a guy that lives on a 20 euros budget.

Doqon, 1k is not an amount to experiment with. Don't give me 'I can afford it' nonsense. Stop wasting your husbands money.

I read that book. Aside from learning the difference between asset and a liability, it teaches you absolutely nothing.

Anyways get into the vanguard etfs, and read the long step by step guide I posted. You can also read “The Intelligent Investor” by Benjamin Graham

You know what, I was thinking about Vanguard ETFs, but since I’m not sure about the impact of taxes on a platform like Robinhood, I was thinking of investing in it through a non-taxable IRA.

If you really want to pursue this learn as much as you can and dabble with trading your own money to figure out your risk tolerance and trading strategies. You may find out that stock investing isn't for you and that's totally fine. There's a million other ways to get rich.

I use this program that’s highly effective, it will never fail you. You basically give 500 dollars a month to the elderly women in your family. They take that money and give you 12x more the amount. But like any program it has its pros and cons, the pros you expect you money each time without a cent missing, the downside is sometimes the aunties think they’re smart and ask you to pay for Qaran (family charity) whenever it’s your turn to get the money, this time you can’t say you don’t have money because they know you do have it. :bell:
Omg my relatives use to do that all the time. Caauto I think how it’s spelt.

I started an m1finance portfolio. I’m keeping my Robinhood acc, but this is way better.I think I’ll start a Roth there too.

My brother is trying to do the house hacking he mentioned in the video. I would also love to do something like that.

To have 20% down for a multi-unit in these parts, you have to have a solid 80-100k (or more) down for the ones in better shape, but it’s still only marginally different from the prices on many single family homes, and it’ll generate multiple streams of rent. It’s a good hack.

This is my favorite YTber so far. He talks a lot about the M1 platform. But he also touches on other subjects. He has a convincing, long-term, dividend-centered strategy on growing investment portfolios. His videos are long-winded, but full of value, even if you’re not using the same brokerage platform:

I decided I’m gonna just watch and see what happens to the initial $500 in Robinhood for a considerable amount of time, and then only use it to play around. I’m not going to feed it anything significant. Pocket money, at best.

I’m shocked it went up over $15 in a week.

Make sure you put a stop loss on the stock so you dont lose your gains. Good luck :nvjpqts:
