How you gonna live off the sweat and labor of a deceased one.

Besides how are you gonna even have your creative mind when you’ll always be compared to her.

I’d say revamp the whole thing.

I never liked the title of the show “Integration TV”. Just never settled down in me.

But again

It was unnecessary death. Even a kid in elementary knew this was predictable. I predicted 2 years ago. Am I sorcerer? No I’m not. Am I a rocket scientist? No! But it was simple to see the mistake. I will not be that disrespectful but this was as close to to a geeljire being suicidal as it can get. Staying at a hotel that hosts government officials, your espouse being a government person and then joining the state Tv. Are you kidding me.

It means you can’t talk sense to people who refuse to believe in reality. Somalis back home have no choice, waa dad masakeen ah, the reality on the ground is it’s dangerous (in certain parts). I certainly would not risk my life to go there and if it makes me a self hater so be it. Especially as a mother with children, I would not go back knowing that there’s a huge chance of death or a (fatal) injury.

Hodan is dead yes, but her Legacy and what she stood for should live on. She gave the diaspora hope and I truly hope the love and interest she installed in the younger generation didn't die with her. She was inspirational and has inspired myself and many others to be proud of our roots and to want to go back and build our nation.

Remember guys, Rome wasn't built in a day and many civilisations and nations went through turmoil and bloodshed before becoming the great countries they are today.

I’m being called all sort of names because I keep saying that her death was close to a suicide. I mean I can’t go into a lion’s enclosure at the San Diego Zoo and expect to be living. I would calculate my chance of fatality to be 99%.

Nope! No civilization ever went through 40 years of deprivation. Nope! Besides we were never a civilization. We never constituted nationhood before 1960. We were sparsely living nomads who raided camel off of each other, bloody raids too

There is no competition between a regular human being and an angel which has become canonized.

Exactly, why not a different show, with fresh faces and a new concept. Why just one host? We live in the era of podcasts, where you can have more than one person at the table with guests available.

Also, whatever happened to those folks from Sheeko Sheeko?

The word 'Integration', though I'm sure it was well-meaning can be interpreted as an erasure of one's sub-cultural identity and overtaking by the dominant culture. Rather than a suturing together of the best of both worlds that retains a semblance of Somaliness and insert 'local diasporic culture'.
