Is the majority of habesha culture of sabaean origin?

Habeshas have their own native culture that is unique to them. Sure, you'll find some Semitic elements here and there, but those characteristics have diverged significantly through the millennia. It's not a copy-paste culture.

Their culture is still majority Cushitic.

Nothing that Semitic other than the language and maybe how the women do their hair

(don't know if it's Cushitic or Semitic styling)

Habeshas have their own culture if they wanted a semitic culture they would be speaking Arabic and would have converted to Islam like the semitic people's did

They appropriated the language to form their own, formed their own church etc
All in all their just extremely sneaky cushites

These are Raya Oromos who have been assimilated and now heavily speak Tigranya. The clothing and dance is Oromo called Dhichisa - done by all Oromos slightly different depending their region.

The eskita dance is actually very similar to the Agew dance. The habesha culture is a mix of both Agew and south Semitic elements.

Habeshas are essentially Agaws.

Sad that they are almost extinct today (ethnoculturally at least). Only about one million people left who identify as Agaw.

It's so obvious. None of the Northern Cushites (Beja, Agaw, Afars etc - even Northern Somalis up to modern times) practice it. Only Southern Somalis who came in cultural contact with Swahili populations.
Ethnic Somalis also do niiko at weddings, doesn't prove anything.

Even in the South its known as a Madowweyne cultural dance. Where did anyone get the idea that its normal even in the south to do?

Oromos controlled the Abbisinyan empire at one point in life. The courts of Gondor once spoke Afan Oromo. The Wallo Oromo including the Rayya were really powerful. And at one point, we were heavily nomadic and travelled far.

It’s sad though, the Rayya of today don’t really speak Afan Oromo. Only the elders do, and it’s slowly dying with this clan. Other Wallo clans have also gone through the same fate but instead speak Amharic. Most of the Muslim Wallo “Amharas” are Wallo Oromo from the Qabo, Haimano, Yejju and other subclans.

The Qimant and other Agew groups are fighting for self rule in the Gonder area. They are there in numbers and reviving their culture and language. Unfortunately most have switched to speaking Amharic.

The Rayya are a subclan of Wallo. The Wallo clan got control of both Amhara and Tigray Abbissinya at a point. Yes some Wallo clans allied with the Amhara but not all. They worked their way to lead the people. And I never said the Rayya allied with Tigray, they controlled the area.

It was the Shawans that allied with Menalik.
