Aren't these two provinces majority Hawadle and Ogaden and are allied with AMISOM, Mogadishu and/or Madoobe?

Why does Al Shabab still control these places? Are the local Hawadle and Ogaden in those areas pro Al Shabab or are the other clans that live with them overpowering them via Al Shabab?

Hiiraan has notable 0.5 population (Madowweyne) who are very fond of the egalitarianism of the khawarij ideology practised by Al-Shaytaan.


This my theory though

Both 2 clan scream the loudest but in truth are struggling for power in their respective regions, in Hiiraan there are over 15 clan all vying for power while in Jubooyinka Ogs are holding the left nut sack of the kikiyu in power struggle against other Somali clans of that region.

They are small dog barking the loudest.

If an area is controlled by Al Shabaab, it's because the local clans support them.

Middle Jubba is entirely under Al shabab due to the large Rahanweyn, Jarerweyne and Dir population that is why.
