Yeah...that pickup up truck is carrying khat from the Kenyan highland town of Meru to Hamar. They cover that distance in less than 24 hours (we are talking about 1000 km in rough, unpaved roads) and they drive like maniacs. I’m very certain that the driver was high on khat the moment he drove into the ragging river.

The actual moniker for those trucks is “ka’beer” as in “get out of the way”. It’s just khat they are hopped on but also all other types of prescription pills. I don’t feel for them at all cause they are bringing drugs into the country!
