If the accent is too strong, like “xaa tiri” talk, I would prefer we converse in English only. And I would make sure my kids learn Somali from my side of the family

Other than that it doesn’t make a difference to me

I think you mean dialect.

I speak Xamar dialect and find some northen words like kaluun instead of malaay annoying.

Ahaha u say malay too lol i know what kalun means bt dont use it. My middle school bff is from somaliland she never speaks somali arpund me except when she's talking to her mom lol i thi k she finds it awkward her somalo is legit text book somali compare to mine lol
