I doubt it, due to its aridity. I think they came from the Nile area.

It belongs to Sudan but Egyptians are entitled and many of them act like Sudan is an extension of Upper Egypt so of course they don't respect people of Hala'ib claims

Egypt is an ungrateful country. When Egypt was getting destroyed by Israel, the Sudanese helped Egypt unconditionally.

Even thousands of years ago Sudan fought Persians and Greeks away from Ancient Egypt if it wasn't for Sudan their civilization would've died much earlier
