I was wondering because it never really occured to me I know Somalis suffer a lot from dhiigkar iyo sonkor, but cancer? Do you know Somalis that suffer from it? I'm really interested to find out because to me I have this idea the skinny but healthy Somali diet doesn't contribute to much cancer among Somalis. I'm not really necessarly talking about the Somalis in the diaspora(who eat much chemical xaar and their futos smelling like corpses akhhh tuuuf), but rather back home.

They have it. They just keep it secret as if its aids or something. I had a relative who was "unwell" for a long time.

Come to find out he had cancer the entire time.

Very rare. But the trend nowadays is- if u have HIV/AIDS they say they have cancer or Sonkor

I could agree with you but then we’d both be wrong

Visit East Asian countries like Malaysia and India where terminally ill Somali patients go for diverse treatments. Cancer is rife among those patients.

Somalis back home are prone to such diseases because of the toxic waste dumped on Somali waters by foreign fleets. Stay away from Somali fish if you ever visit the country. It's way too dangerous.

Cancer does not discriminate, I know many lives it claimed specially young women in their 20's. It's so heart breaking because one day the person is fine, they feel a little off and go for a check up and then get the bad news. May Allah Subxana Watacaalaa protect us from illnesses and give us long healthy lives. :)

4 relatives have it on my moms side, 3 are dead and one is struggling.

Inshallah they will reach the highest levels of jannah.
That’s heartbreaking, AUN.

Two of my aunts passed away from ovarian cancer, it’s truly one of the worst.

@AliUK

Sorry to hear that Sxb, my condolences to your relatives who lost their lives, did they all have the same cancer? Did the rest of the family do any screening?

It is becoming more and more of a problem the last 7 years or so
