What kind of God fearing man would want a high maintenance women in his life? Having high standards is a good thing but most people don't even meet up to their own expectations.
For example: this one girl I talked to awhile back demanded her man make over 90k a year, be in great shape and be on his Deen. You have every right to have these standards but when you're broke, barely pray your 5 daily prayers and have the physical physique of Whoopie Goldberg then you're just delusional and belong in the psych ward.
Like attracts like. So if you want someone exceptional then you must become exceptional first.

Hah! Figure of speech mostly. But the best way to study is within group sessions which I join everyday. These chicks are husband shopping and don't even know what men want. The sheer level of entitlement oozing from these chicks would make any sane man question their sanity.

Nothing wrong with a woman that knows her worth and status in a relationship. Because at the end of the day you need to meet her maintenance rights as part of the marriage contract. It doesn’t matter if she is asking for a house or a pair of shoes. It is up to you as a man to let her know about your situation and if you are able to afford it. If you can’t afford doing that then hit the road and let her be spoiled by a man that can afford to meet her maintenance rights or look for a solution as how both parties can be happy.

Having a pious and God fearing man that is fulfilling his duties as a husband and father should be enough for your sisters in the Deen.
Being unrealistic and too demanding for materialistic things is definetly not the islamic way.
Being modest and balanced in everything is the quintessence of Islam.
How is meeting her rights being too demanding and unrealistic? If you are a God fearing man and pious, you also need to act on the deen and meet her maintenance rights. But you can’t just act on the deen and nitpick from it to suit your situation. That’s haram and not good.
If you can’t afford doing that then don’t marry. It is as simple as that, my friend.
But the problem with you men is that you are not even God fearing to begin with so you will resort to saying that meeting her maintenance is unrealistic and too demanding.
Just say you don’t make enough income to meet her mainentance. We will understand that.
