I totally agree. However, there needs to be a level of accountability.

Expecting one parent to do 100% of the parenting is always going to be a disaster.

That’s ideal.
But not much choice if that’s not happening, so all that’s left them is to be as competent as possible. Plan for the worst. Someone has to break the cycle. The sooner they figure out to run the heck out of assisted living, the better off they’ll be, them and their kids.

Bro that first dish made me sick walahi. That's not in the 2k meher bracket, that is a 200 dollars meher, not even euros. I once attended an cadcad wedding and the meher was around 350 euros. we were all shocked, few years later the groom invited me and a friend to his house for a diner. I swear his wife made us the nastiest baasto I ever tasted. It was baasto but smelled like a bariis. That's when it hit us why he paid 350 euros.

If a man was not supporting his kids whilst married to the mother of his kids, what makes you think he will start working after divorce?

A man allergic to work during marriage, will be even worse after divorce. Plus its the right of the children to be provided for.

A lot of Somalis pretend to be single in order to get more benefits. Single or divorced, they are still on benefits.

Somali women are not known to put men on child support. They think cayd is their saviour.

New generation of Somali women will be different though. Its time fathers are held accountable.

This is why I've never rated women as numbers.

I remember this guy in high school asked me what number this girl was (1 through 10) and I've always refused. I don't think it's cool to dehumanize women.

Usually the word 'ripped' off is used when indicating something isn't worth the price.

Plus, some men can afford to give expensive gifts some can't.
