Never do anything for anyone expecting something in return. You'll normally be disappointed. And why is it that if your asking yourself , Oh I'm cooking for you, cleaning the house for you and raising our kids , why is it that you automatically think you should be gifted with something. The man is at work 8-12 hours a day do you see him asking you , oh why arent you giving me sex everyday, why arent you being like so and so's wife who does this for her husband. Come on!
